Proof

A win’s proof is set when you name it, while you are honest about it. The dial decides how much it takes when you say it is done.

The dial

The app asks “When you say a win is done, how much should it take?” and offers three levels, in these words. Normal is the default.

Easy

Your word is enough: say it is done and the credits are yours.

On your phone, a tap pays.

Normal, the default

Show what you can: one line of what you did, and it has to fit the win.

On your phone, a tap asks for one line in your words.

Strict

Show it or wait: a link, a file or SB's proof before the credits come.

On your phone, a tap cannot pay; your agent or SB must see the proof.

Change it in the gear on your phone or on your dashboard.

What counts as proof

Each win is named with one of four:

  • A link: the finished work, such as a merged pull request or a published page. Your agent sends the link; we keep only its host.
  • A file: your agent sends the file’s name, never the file.
  • A line of text: your agent reads it and says what it says.
  • Your word: you say it is done, in your own words.

When your agent marks the win done, it writes one line naming what it saw, in the win’s own words: at least 20 characters on Easy, 40 on Normal, 80 on Strict. On Strict your word alone does not count, and a win of 20 credits or more needs a link or a file. Anything short of that is refused in one sentence, and nothing pays.

On the phone, Normal asks “What did you do?” for one line before it pays. Strict says “This one needs more than a tap. Your agent can mark it, or show me.” The Send SB the proof button takes a live photo, which SB checks against the plan.

SB's proof on WhatsApp

When you tell SB on WhatsApp that a win is done, SB may ask for proof first, once: a photo of the result or the place, or the specifics in your own words. Small wins taken on your word need nothing more.

  • When it looks done, SB says “That looks done.” and the credits are in. A photo pays a quarter more.
  • When SB cannot tell, it asks one question.
  • When it cannot count, it says what it saw, and you can send another.

You can say no to proof and take the credits anyway; SB then asks a bit more often for a while. SB on WhatsApp is the paid part: your first day with SB is free, then it is £4.99 a month, or £29.99 a year with the first week free. What happens to the photo is on your data.
