Wins

A win is the one thing ScrollBuddy counts. You name it, finish it, earn its credits and spend them on screen time.

Name, finish, earn, spend

  • Name a win, yourself on the page or with your agent. A win is a verb plus a visible result: “ship the pricing page”, not “work on the site”.
  • Say what it is worth, up to 30 credits, and what will show it is done: a link, a file, a line of text, or your word.
  • Finish it. How much that takes depends on the dial.
  • Earn its credits. One credit opens one minute of the apps you picked.
  • Spend them in a pass of 2 to 30 minutes. When the pass runs out the apps shut again. More on credits.

While you work, your agent can mark the step you are on, and the page shows it with small squares. Progress never pays; only a finished win does.

The three slots

Today’s page holds up to three open wins. Finish one and its slot opens for the next. Name a fourth while three are open and it goes to tomorrow. A win you no longer want can be dropped while it is open; it pays nothing and frees its slot.

Finished something you never named? Tell your agent and show it the work. It logs the win, already finished, so it never takes a slot.

The stamp

A finished win stays on the page as a stamp with its credits on it. It cannot be unfinished, and it pays once.

The key win and the evening ask

One finished win a day can be the key win: the one that mattered most. Tap a finished win on the page and choose Key win. Choosing another moves it. It never changes your credits.

The bell rings at the hour you set in the gear. When two or more wins are finished and none is the key, it asks “Which one mattered most today?” and the tap lets you pick. When only one win was finished, that one is the key. The next day’s recap opens with it.

The month and the gallery

Tap the streak number to open the month. Every day you finished a win has a tick, with that day’s key win under its number. Tap a day to read its page back, and make a different finished win that day’s key if you like.

Key wins, at the foot of the month, is the gallery: every key win, newest first, grouped by month. Each one opens its day.

The streak

The streak counts the days in a row you finished at least one win. A day with the lock on and no finished win ends it at zero and empties your credits. A streak freeze from the store covers one missed day: the streak and the credits stand. More on a missed day.
